.....in the beginning - as the dream

The dream was to offer a place of peace, nurturing and community. A place for and about women, a place where we could honor, embrace and celebrate ourselves and each other.

And so, putting one foot in front of the other, the foundation was put under the dream.  Friends, kindred spirits and soul sisters and brothers were gathered - those who shared not only a vision of creating a sacred space for women to honor themselves, but also a commitment to leaving the world a little better place than we found it. 

 Some have called me crazy, others have called me courageous. It’s probably a combination of both. But more than that, it is an unwavering faith that when something feels so right, it’s right. When everything falls so perfectly into place and in such absolute alignment, there is no room for hesitation or fear. The only possible answer to the call of the dream was "yes."  

There are those who have misunderstood the 'sacred space for and about women' and tried to make it into something it isn't.  This isn't about taking a feminist stand, exclusion or superiority.  It is about finding our authentic place within the world we live in and finding a piece of ourselves often unclaimed.  We are not the same, men and women, and it is time to not only appreciate that difference, but to also embrace and honor it.  We each have the strengths and weaknesses of our gender, which combined and acknowledged, is the foundation for the healing we seek, ultimately creating a world in which both men and women can live in unity, spiritual equality and divinity, each created in the image of God or Goddess, each able to see their own inherent sacredness and that of the other.

Each day is started in mindfulness and with intention - offering these words as a blessing and affirmation for all those who might enter through our door:

"May all who find their way to us today find what they are seeking. 

May their experience be one of connection and community. 

May all find peacefulness within their path. 

May all recognize their beauty and light. 

May we both be blessed by our coming together."

As a 'Sanctuary for the Spirit', our intention each day is to honor the individual path of each person who visits here by supporting them in ‘reconnecting to the sacred and divine” within themselves - in whatever form that takes.

The Gifts that are chosen for Three Sisters’ Spirit reflect the sacredness, beauty and inspiration. within our lives. We believe in our inherent need to honor and create sacred space in our lives, in our homes, and to celebrate our own personal & creative expression each day. We have created a sanctuary of scent, sound, color and personal adornment, art that can bring a sense of peace and connection to spirit and books and cards to encourage us with inspirational thoughts that affirm, empower and enlighten a woman’s spirit.
 

.....as a ‘mind, body & spirit' wellness sanctuary 

Three Sisters' Spirit classes, workshops, gathering groups and individual services are a way to bring wholeness, wellness, balance and healing into our lives. Our ‘Sanctuary for the Spirit’ space is offered as a respite from the hectic world outside ourselves, and a place to explore and share the wisdom of many unique spiritual paths, traditions and perspectives. As women, we nurture and listen each other into our own individual truths by sharing our experiences, hopes, dreams and desires. We believe that as each one of us deepens our own connection to ourselves and the spiritual and sacred, our understanding and compassion grows for others.

In this way, we are then able to walk a path of peace, beauty and gratitude, creating sanctuary within our own being, in our families, communities and in the world around us.

In this way, we can (and will) make a difference, and we can change the world, leaving it a little better place for our having been here, one heartbeat at a time.
