Reiki Rejuvenating Facial Massage with Carolyn Gaar, BS, RMP

30 minutes of "blissful" relaxation - $30

Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of relaxation and stress reduction.  Using specific hand positions and focusing on acupressure points, this cell rejuvenating facial has been described as a "blissful" experience by those who have received it!  A Reiki Rejuvenation session with Carolyn features 30 minutes of individualized and pampered attention including acupressure point massaging of the scalp, face, neck and shoulders, along with the relaxing & rejuvenating properties of Reiki Healing energy.  Many clients have come out of a session with a new glow to their skin and a noticeable reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

How do I get the most out of my session?

• Arrive early – take a couple minutes to sit quietly and relax before your session.

• Communication is key – the more specific you can be about the intention of your session, the more tailored your treatment will be. And please speak up, let your massage therapist know if you’d like softer or harder pressure, if the room is too warm/cool, or if you have any other concerns during the session.

• Breathe – Deep breathing helps to facilitate relaxation. It is common to stop or tighten your breath when having a sensitive area massaged. If you realize you are doing this, simply take a deep breath to move the energy through your body.

• Make sure to drink plenty of water after the massage to help continue to flush toxins that were released during the session.

• Massage works best over time. The therapeutic effects of massage are cumulative, so the more often you get a massage, the better you will feel and the more quickly your body will respond.

Guided Meditation - Mini Retreat

facilitator: Dani Sutliff, MS, CT, RMT

What woman doesn't long for a little peace, quiet and  "stillness" in her life?  A time out and away from the hectic pace of always doing and going - errands, to do lists, tasks and responsibilities?

Recent research has shown that on average, a woman today processes 60,000 thoughts per day.  Our minds are never quiet, and our bodies never still.  This takes a toll on us - physically, emotionally and spiritually.    Research has also shown the connection between stress and illness - and the importance and benefit of meditation in reducing stress related symptoms.

Join us for this relaxing and rejuvenating mini meditation "retreat"  - All are welcome - whether you are a seasoned pro or about to try meditation for the first time!
